LIST OF PATHWAYS:

CTE Hospitality and Culinary Pathway

All students complete the same introductory course before beginning the Hospitality and Culinary sequence.

  • 9th Grade: LACC Art 201/ Communication 1000 or Visual Arts (Choir or Dance)
  • 10th Grade: Introduction to Business and Hospitality
  • 11th Grade: Culinary Principles AB*
  • 12th Grade: Culinary Management AB
  • Industry Certification: Food Handler Certification

*Students officially begin the Hospitality and Culinary pathway in 11th grade. The sequence provides hands-on culinary instruction, food-safety training, hospitality experience, and preparation for careers and postsecondary education in culinary arts, food service and hospitality management.

 

CTE Business and Entrepreneurship Pathway

All students complete the same introductory course before beginning the Business and Entrepreneurship sequence.

  • 9th Grade: LACC Art 201/ Communication 1000 or Visual Arts (Choir or Dance)
  • 10th Grade: Introduction to Business and Hospitality
  • 11th Grade: Business Management
  • 12th Grade: Virtual Enterprise

Students officially begin the Business and Entrepreneurship pathway in 11th grade. The sequence develops skills in business operations, management, marketing, financial literacy, entrepreneurship and workplace readiness. In Virtual Enterprise, students apply their learning by developing and operating a simulated business.
